Witness To Courage Exhibition

  • Resource for London 356 Holloway Road London United Kingdom (map)

Come and see the Exhibition displayed at Resource for London by Street Talk.

You can visit every day between 9am-6pm.

Street Talk is a small charity which takes psychotherapy and art therapy to vulnerable women with a particular focus on women in street prostitution and women who have escaped from traffickers. This exhibition shows the work of three Street Talk art therapists, Catriona Alderton, Asta Jakobs and Helen Valentine. Through our work the Street Talk therapists witness courage and glimpse the infinite beauty of the human spirit.

Catriona Alderton has a deep interest in exploring spirituality and the creative process from a multi-faith and cross-cultural perspective building on her experience of living in Europe, Asia and Africa.

Asta Jakobs, the daughter of a fisherman, grew up in a fishing village in Iceland. Her works are pieces in process and mostly responsive to different experiences, loss, the masculine and feminine, vulnerability, listening out for guidance both from within and around. Knowing without knowing that we know.

Helen Valentine has lived in South Africa and the UK. After graduating in painting she trained to be a Steiner teacher. She is currently teaching art as well as working for Street Talk.
