Our Story

Resource for London is a registered charity founded in October 1993 by the Trust for London and also a building.

We, the charity are a wholly owned subsidiary of Trust for London.  This means that any surpluses we make are used to meet our objectives of “promoting charities and the voluntary sector and improving the efficiencies and effectiveness of charities for the benefit of the public” in order to tackle poverty and inequality in London.   We do this by providing serviced office accommodation and conference, training and meeting room facilities.

Resource for London, the building, is run by a charity for charities. We understand your needs and provide a service tailor-made for you. We are committed to providing the highest level of service to the voluntary sector.

Resource for London employs no staff of its own but is a London Living Wage supporter and promoter. It has an AIM Secure Accreditation from the Meetings Industry Association.

Not for profit

All of the proceeds from the activities directly goes to the voluntary sector in London, in particular groups working to address poverty.

Affordable

The centre offers rents and room hire that are very competitive i.e. subsidised, affordable to the capital's voluntary sector.

Social Commercial Landlord

As a lessee of  the Trust for London, Resource for London’s  activities, whilst being highly professional, are at the same time designed with the voluntary sector in mind i.e. short leases, shared services.

Accessible & Well Equipped

The centre is fully DDA compliant and accessible to people with a range disabilities. The centre has state of the art equipment for meetings, conferences and events.

About Trust for London

It does this: by funding voluntary and charity groups – currently it makes grants totalling around £10 million a year and at any one time is supporting up to 300 organisations; by funding independent research and by providing knowledge and expertise on London’s social issues to policy makers and journalists.
