The Community Agenda

What does the current climate look like for BAMER community organisations operating in London? The forum will have themed workshops and conferences, identifying the most important issues and needs of BAMER communities over the next 12 months, largely informed by the recent Integrated Communities Strategy green paper and the Mayor’s strategy for social integration. If you are a representative of a BAMER community or RMCO in London, please get in touch if you would like to be a part of the project!

Our first conference will be held on Tuesday 19th June at Resource for London. This will be a full day event which coincides with Refugee Week. We hope to use the event as an opportunity to celebrate the success stories of refugee women and to discuss the challenges that they still face. The key issues that we will be discussing, with regard to women's experiences, are:

  • Access to higher education
  • Mental health and wellbeing
  • The asylum process
  • Please sign up (free) using the link below, as spaces are strictly limited.
